Anthony, son of David Parr and Jane Duke Johnson, was born _________________1856 at Ekfrid Township, Middlesex County, Ontario.

Anthony never married and had no children.

At the time of the 1901 census, he was living at Dawn Township, Lambton County, Ontario as a farmer near Edys Mills. His father David was living with him. He resided at Sarnia, Ontario for a number of years as well, engaging there in cement work.

His great niece, Julia Ann Parr Pilkey, was building her home with husband Abe Pilkey on Davis Street at Sarnia. Anthony lived a few blocks away on Mitton Street at that time, and he helped them build it.

It is unfortunate, but the one story that survives Anthony should colour his whole life. Clarice Shortt Parr, wife of Otis Parr of Brigden, decided that something should be written down about the Parr family. She found Anthony to be hard of hearing and frequently leaned forward to yell her questions to Anthony. The problem with this was Clarice was well endowed and her second visit to Anthony, he gave her a safety pin. He was about 80 years old at the time.

At the time of his death, Anthony was living with his sister Jennie on Charlotte Street at Sarnia. Anthony died from _____________ (cause) on 16 February 1938 and was buried in the United Church Cemetery at Shetland, Ontario.
