Lavinie, daughter of Frederick Parr and Jane Whiting, was born 24 August 1878 at
____________ Ontario. In the 1901 census, Vinie was living with her older brother David and her mother. The census recorded a one John Talman as being an employee of Jane Whiting. The plot thickens when Vinie's brother Willy, had a farm hand listed with them - a certain William Tallman. William Tallman, son of William Tallman and Harriet Whiting was born _____________ 1866 at __________________. (city) At this point, it's not known if Jane Whiting and Harriet Whiting, the mothers of the this marriage, are related to one another. They married 13 April 1901 in ______________________(church) at _________________________ (city) by Rev. Edwin Lee. Vinie and William were listed as living at Mosa Township, Middlesex County, Ontario. Witnesses were Thomas Lee and Harriet Johnston. They had 4 children; Orzella, Frederick, Emma Mae, and Thelma M_________. Thelma was born ________ 1904 at ____________ (city) _________________ and died from __________ (cause) _____________ 1911. |
| She was buried in the Bear Creek Cemetery at Moore Township, Lambton
County, Ontario. On her headstone is the quote, "Budded on earth To bloom in heaven." One story survives of William clearing off his land. He pulled out a stump revealing a snake and its offspring, and the rattlesnake swallowed the young ones and escaped. William died from ______________ (cause) on ________ 1941 and was buried in the Bear Creek Cemetery. Vinie was living with her daughter Zella when she died from _______________ (cause) on 26 August 1962 and was buried in the Bear Creek Cemetery. |
