Charles, son of Robert Henry Tunks and Thirsa Hewitt, was born 10 August 1884 at __________________ Ontario.

Thirsa sometimes was off being a mid wife at all hours, giving Charlie the opportunity to be the good cook that he learned to be. That was, when he wasn't quarrelling with brother Bob as to who was going to do the cooking.

Luella, daughter of _____________ Smith (father) and _____________ (mother) , was born _______________ 1870 at ____________________. (city)

They married 15 October 1921 in the Park Street Parsonage at ________________ (city). They had no children.

Charlie, along with brothers Bob and Harry and father Bob, worked with drilling oil wells. Charlie's wife was probably one that agreed that the Tunks money was sunk into the ground. Charlie made his own gasoline from crude oil. His process though, had people saying, "Charlie will blow himself up one of these days." He didn't; he lived to be over 90.

Charley and Luella TunksLuella died 17 August 1961 and was buried at the Shetland United Church Cemetery in Shetland, Ontario .

Charles remarried on _______________  (date) at ____________________ (city) to Vera L. Shepley.

Vera, daughter of ______________ Shepley (father) and ________ (mother), was born 8 August 1900 at Coatsworth, Ontario.

Vera died from ____________ (cause) on 31 August 1972 and was buried at the Shetland United Church Cemetery.



Charlie remarried for a third time. This time to Lillian (Edwards) Gorski. She was the daughter of _____________________ (father)  and _________________ (mother) , was born on _______________ 1891? at _______________________ (city).  Lillie and Charles had been good friends for 3 years before deciding to get married.

They were married ____________________ 1974? in the home of the Pentecostal church pastor at Bothwell, Ontario. There was no honeymoon, as Charles was quoted as saying, "It's too cold."

Charlie died ______________ (cause) on 6 April 1981, aged 96, and was buried in the Shetland United Church Cemetery. Lillie died from _______________  (cause) on ______________ (date) and was buried in the __________________ cemetery at ___________________ (city)
